The LafEnergy team closely monitors developments regarding renewable energy sources and projects related to their implementation. One such project is the ‘Photovoltaics on the A2’ scheme, which is to be carried out as a pilot project by GDDKiA between the Konotopa and Łódź Północ junctions. Rising energy prices are one of the main reasons for seeking cost-effective and environmentally friendly solutions that would deliver savings in road lighting and energy consumption, including at motorway service areasand to power elements such as external electronic signs and information boards.
To this end, the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) is considering the possibility of collaborating with partners who would install photovoltaic systems or other solutions enabling the efficient generation, storage and procurement of electricity on land managed by the Directorate.
