On 7 June this year, a static load test was carried out on the bridge under construction across the Warta River in Rogalinko. In accordance with the test plan, eight lorries loaded with aggregate were parked on the bridge for several hours – in various configurations – whilst sensors fitted to the structure measured its settlement. All readings fell within the expected range. The support showed a deflection of 1/10 mm, which represents a 25–30 per cent margin of safety compared with the standards.
During the survey, the site was visited by the Deputy Marshal of the Wielkopolska Voivodeship, Wojciech Jankowiak, and the Director of the Wielkopolska Provincial Road Authority in Poznań, Paweł Katarzyński. Members of the media who had been invited were also able to observe the measurement results as they came in.
As this is a box-girder bridge, an additional highlight of the visit was the opportunity to explore the interior of the bridge.

The new bridge is scheduled to open to traffic on 8 July this year. Demolition of the old bridge will continue until the end of the year.
