On 10-11 May, the city of Poznań hosted one of the most prestigious conferences in Central and Eastern Europe: Impact. It provided a platform for top managers from major global companies, brilliant academics or world-class experts and speakers to discuss the current social and economic changes.
Over the two days, over 600 speakers on eight stages discussed 23 thematic areas.
The leading topics included, among others:
- Development of artificial intelligence, which has progressed tremendously in recent months, with major companies such as Google and Microsoft fighting for the leader position; we can already assume that the coming years will belong to AI. Technology should support employers and employees in the implementation of various processes. Improvements will not only affect production, logistics or customer service, but also creative professions. Work is currently underway to standardise the legal basis for the safe use of the capabilities of artificial intelligence.
- Ecology and health, that is, striving for zero carbon emissions, using natural products in natural packaging, recycling products, but also striving for work-life balance, looking after mental health and general wellbeing trends.
- Inclusiveness – in other words, respect and acceptance of diversity, supporting differences and uniqueness, being attentive to other people. It is important for companies to create an inclusive culture, where every employee’s voice is heard and listened to, and employees are appreciated not only for their work performance, but also for who they are and the value they bring into the organisational culture.
- Globalisation, which is already doing quite well, but is still gaining momentum at the expense of the local market. One of the results of globalisation is also migration, which is less frequently driven by the political situation (although it still happens, Ukraine being an example), and more commonly by decisions aimed at development opportunities, climate improvement or cooperation.
- Security – in a very broad sense, as cybersecurity, energy security, financial security and, of course, national security.

- Nassim Nicholas Taleb – researcher of philosophical, mathematical and practical problems in probability. Author of the multi-volume “Incerto” essay
- Valerie Jarrett – CEO of Civic Nation and Co-President of the United State of Women, advisor to President Barack Obama from 2009 to 2017
- Adam Tooze – historian, writer and economic commentator, lecturer at Columbia University in New York
- Ana Paula De Jesus Assis – President and CEO of IBM Europe, Middle East and Africa
- Mark Brzezinski – US Ambassador in Poland
- Matt Brittin – President of Google EMEA
- Rahel Solomon – business correspondent for CNN International (New York)
- Adrian McDonald – President of Dell Technologies EMEA
- and many other distinguished speakers
We are now analysing the acquired knowledge in our teams. The aim is to implement processes that will allow Lafrentz to grow in line with market expectations, but also with our business objectives.
