The contract covers the supervision of the design and construction of the 9 km Oświęcim Bypass. This section forms part of the S-1 Kosztowy–Bielsko-Biała expressway.
This road will significantly speed up journeys to the border with Slovakia at Zwardoń, Pyrzowice Airport and the A1 motorway.
The project will run in the vicinity of the former Nazi Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration and extermination camp, and the Contractor will be obliged – during the design and construction of the project – to comply with the recommendations set out in the special Report on the Impact Assessment on the World Heritage Site – Auschwitz-Birkenau, the German Nazi concentration and extermination camp (1940–1945).
