Since 26 September, the first drivers have been using the new section of the S11 Koszalin – Bobolice expressway. This means that, as explained by Minister of Infrastructure Andrzej Adamczyk, who attended the opening, we have just crossed the magic threshold of 5,000 kilometres of expressways in Poland.
The entire S11 Koszalin – Bobolice road was divided into three construction sections, of which the third section – from Kłanin to Bobolice (11.6 km) – was under the supervision of the Lafrentz Group.
The contractor for this section was a consortium of companies Mirbud SA and Kobylarnia SA.
In terms of the other sections of the route opened yesterday: Koszalin – Zegrze Pomorskie (16.8 km) was completed by Budimex SA, while the Zegrze Pomorskie – Klanino section (19.3 km) was constructed by Mostostal.
Thanks to the new road, travel time should be cut by around half, from the previous 45 minutes to about 25 minutes now.
Apart from the Minister of Infrastructure Andrzej Adamczyk, the road opening ceremony was also attended by: Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration Paweł Szefernaker, Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment Małgorzata Golińska.
Lafrentz Group was represented by Contract Director Anna Jędras, Contract Engineer Marcin Michalak and his entire team, and Contract Manager Iwona Czarnecka.
Congratulations to all those involved in the execution of the contract, especially our colleagues!
