We will design the S74 in Kielce

We will design the Kielce Zachód – Kielce section of the S74 expressway. At the end of January, we signed a contract with PUT Intercor, the contractor for the project, which is being implemented in the ‘design and build’ format. We are responsible for the comprehensive preparation of the multi-industry design documentation for this construction project and for exercising author supervision. The scope of project work includes:

• development of concepts for design solutions 
• preparation of a land survey and height map for design purposes 
• preparation of an environmental report as part of environmental impact reassessment 
• preparation of a map for design purposes including a 3D model 
• obtaining the necessary approvals/permits/decisions/authorisations, expert reports 
• preparation of formal and legal documentation for the acquisition of rights to use properties located outside the designed road delimitation lines necessary to execute the investment project 
• preparation of supplementary geological-engineering documentation 
• preparation of an aquatic legal survey 
• execution of land development project  
• optimisation of planned solutions 
• preparation of a multi-industry architectural and construction design (including the road infrastructure with permanent traffic organisation design, bridge design, reconstruction of all external devices, construction of lighting, drainage, traffic management system and other works) 
• preparation of applications, submitting and obtaining a Road Project Permit on behalf of the Client, obtaining the necessary opinions and arrangements 
• development of the technical and detailed design for all trades, with all required studies 
• preparation of the Technical Specifications for Execution and Acceptance of Works 
• preparation of a bill of quantities 

The section of the S74 expressway will be 5 km long and will connect the Kielce Zachód and Bocianek junctions. Most of the route will be constructed in excavations to reduce the inconvenience of the route for local residents. Two tunnels and two road junctions are also planned. Most of the existing junctions with the planned route will be kept at the same level. 

The investment, worth around PLN 713 million, should be completed within 36 months. We have 10 months to prepare the documentation and apply for the Road Project Permit.
